Play for life

Unity is at the heart of Africa. Which is why our ‘Play For Life’ partnership with the United Nations Environmental Program (UNEP) will donate proceeds from the sale of our PUMA Africa Unity Kit, Play for Life Tee, and Kehinde Wiley Lacelets to support biodiversity projects in Africa.

Here’s your chance to get involved. Vote for a project today.
Proceeds will go to the three projects with the most votes.

Inspired by the Continent’s sun, vast skies, and rich soil, the Africa Unity Kit is the world’s first ‘continental football kit,’ designed to be worn by PUMA’s African Football national teams in 2010.

A portion of the profits from the sale of PUMA's Africa Unity Kit and the replica fanwear will be allocated to programs that support biodiversity in Africa, in partnership with UNEP's Year of Biodiversity 2010.

AFRICAN ELEPHANTS
This project creates and preserves forest migration corridors that are vital for elephant survival and safeguards the biodiversity of the forests that the local communities that depend on.
GRASP (Great Apes Survival Partnership)
GRASP protects the endangered populations of Great Apes in Equatorial Africa and South East Asia and the forests which these animals and communities depend on for their existence.
AFRICAN RHINOS
In efforts to restore the highly threatened rhino population in Africa, this project will help fund the establishment of new rhino populations in Namibia and Botswana.
AFRICAN LIONS
Endangered lions in Africa need protected ranges to thrive. Zambia can support new self-sustaining lion populations, but needs a national management strategy and current population estimate. This project will address these needs and secure a new kingdom for these animals.
AFRICAN WILDEBEESTS AND ZEBRAS
Wildebeests and zebras are migratory species; these animals need to move to survive. Funds for this project will be used to study migratory habits. Insight gained will create migratory pathways between protected areas for these animals.
NATIONAL PARKS IN DRC
Trespassing into the Democratic Republic of Congo national parks is depleting its natural resources. This program will distribute fuel efficient stoves in the region that benefit the local communities, preserve the forests and the wildlife that thrives there.
